In from the Tide

This Exhibition captures the beauty of local rock pools and surrounding landscapes through photography, inspiration from the unusual forms and colours, creating her unique compositions.

Chasing the dull morning light which somehow manages to kindle unseen colour in a way that emphasises depth and detail, the effect of the light makes the studies look paint-like.

“Every site visit stimulates a sense of exception of discovery It is not easy to describe the effect of sourcing material it can only be strangely deciphered in my mind. It is however a very tangible and distinct allure”.

Interpretation depends upon the reality of the world from a further point of view, away from the definite predictabilities of the world, all in which an instant becomes like a translucent drape which almost consents Alisa to catch a glimpse of an ideal and more breath-taking reality. The worldly desires, expectations and worries suddenly cease to exist.

An exciting new body of work will be introduced throughout this exhibition, keeping to our coastal regions but the new exploration of our beautiful rain forest, Alisa will be adding new work, periodically to this beautiful display.

The environment Alisa desires to work in captivates her attention with a distinct style and colour palette, which resonates in her new body of work.

Alisa is a local artist, her work is rarely displayed within the Sutherland Shire so take advantage of this exhibition. Alisa is also opening her local studio and gallery, a needed source in the area for artists, teachers and students, a gallery space and a creative space for exhibitions and workshops.
